DIRECTIONS to Rosebrook Estate Wines

and Hunter River View House

FROM SYDNEY

Directions 1: TURN AT RUTHERFORD HOTEL

Follow F3 Freeway North to Maitland.

You go to the end of freeway and turn left on to New England Highway to Maitland (Follow signs)

You go through a roundabout near Maitland Railway Station. Follow Singleton, Muswellbrook signs.

At next roundabout follow Singleton, Muswellbrook signs. Then continue 1 km to a set of traffic lights.

Turn right here into Aberglasslyn Road. (Rutherford Hotel on corner). Continue along this road 4kms to Melville Ford Bridge. Go over bridge and turn left.

Travel a further 3kms and you come to a T-intersection. Turn left here into Maitlandvale Rd.

Continue along Maitlandvale Rd 4kms to Rosebrook Estate Wines

There is a street light at the entrance and 2 wine barrel letter boxes on the right side of road. Go over cattle grid and past winery and take first turn on the left, drive past Cadair Cottage. The Polehouse  is on top of the hill. Hunter River View House is further to the left.

Directions 2: OVER BELMORE BRIDGE

Follow F3 Freeway North to Maitland.

You go to the end of Freeway and turn left onto the New England H’wy to Maitland.(Follow signs)

At Maitland turn right at Roundabout at Railway Station. (Signs say Paterson - Dungog).

You go over bridge over railway line and turn left at round about. Continue along and straight through next round about .

You will then come to a set of traffic lights which you go straight through over Belmore Bridge over the Hunter River. To Lorn.

Over the bridge you will travel about 4.4km to a little Shell Service Station at Bolwarra. Keep going to the left here.

Travel another 1.1km and take the 1st turn on the left - Maitlandvale Rd. (The main road goes to the right here and says Paterson and Tocal College. Don’t go this way. Take the left fork.)

Continue along Maitlandvale Rd 10.9km to Rosebrook Estate Wines.

 There is a street light at the entrance and 2 wine barrel letter boxes on the right side of the road.Go over cattle grid and past winery and take first turn on the left, drive past Cadair Cottage. The Polehouse  is on top of the hill. Hunter River View House is further to the left.

Directions 3: FROM VINEYARDS AND CESSNOCK 

Turn off the Branxton Rd into Lovedale Rd (Opposite Cessnock Airport and Hunter Valley Golf and Country Club on the left side.)

Continue to end of Lovedale Rd and turn right onto New England H’way.

Travel down H’way about 2km and turn left where sign says Windemere - Luskintyre.

Travel 0.5km and turn left into Luskintyre Rd.

Follow Luskintyre Rd for 12.3km and eventually you will come down a hill and turn right into Maitlandvale Rd. (Luskintyre Rd takes several 90 degree bends and has side tracks off but stay on main road.)

Continue along Maitlandvale Rd approx 7km.

Hunter River Retreat is on the left hand side of the road. Street light and two wine barrel letter boxes at the entrance.

Go over cattle grid and past winery and take first turn on the left, drive past Cadair Cottage. The Polehouse  is on top of the hill. Hunter River View House is further to the left.
